Endorsement Criteria

We endorse leaders who are bold, inclusive, and bring people together—not divide them.

Inclusive - Defend the rights of all people regardless of sexual preference, identity, and beliefs.

Environmentally Conscious - Prioritize the protection of nature and long-term sustainability. (HI State Constitution/Ka Pa’akai Analysis)

Cultural Stewardship - Protect and perpetuate Native Hawaiian culture, traditions, and practices.

Community-Rooted - Testified on issues, volunteered their time, and held leadership roles.

Collaborative - Listen well and work with others toward shared goals.

Respected - Earned trust in their community through action.

Emotionally Mature - Handle conflict with grace, not spite.

We endorse leaders who prove their values through action—not just words.

Our Endorsement Process

Our endorsement committee must ultimately come to a consensus on our endorsements after our process and research. We encourage and uplift community voice in collaboration with our leadership after the election season.
